Mask Making
October only!! This exclusive class dives deep into making a hard plastic mask which you sculpt yourself and it fits exactly to your head. Show up to your Halloween party with the coolest piece there.
In this 5-week course, you’ll work along side fellow artists doing things you never expected to do. Create a plaster cast of your own head, sculpt your mask design with clay on top, create a silicone mold, pour epoxy in, let it harden, and finish off your product however you like. A long and amazing process.
The only suggestion of skill to bring is being able to sculpt a design that you will be happy with. The rest will be taught to all. As always, all tools and materials are provided. Get excited to bring home an awesome mask and plaster cast of your head that you never knew you needed!

PLEASE READ
On the first day of class, we will be creating a plaster-cast of our own heads. This involves wrapping your entire head/face in plaster wrap. We cover all hair in plastic wrap and petroleum jelly to preserve everything perfectly, and you are usually required to breath through your nose only for about 30 minutes while it sets. If any of this is an issue for you, please contact me and we will figure out how to work around it. The rest is work on the table.
